Senior Project Manager (Solar PV) – Thailand

Our client is a project developer, EPC and Independent Power Producer (IPP) that owns solar power plants and offers its clients the benefit of cost competitive energy via PPA or lease contractual models.  The company has a global track record of more than 750MW of projects.


Primary Function:

The Senior Project Manager will have responsibility for coordinating multiple projects simultaneously from development and pre-sales, through project close out. The candidate will be responsible for managing a team of project engineers to fulfill the project commitments. This is a multi-tasking role that covers the complete value chain as well as EPC lifecycle of solar PV power plants, from development through startup and thereafter during Operations and Maintenance. The candidate will have technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing and executing assignments, and will have business responsibility for providing project deliverables on time and on budget with high quality.


The candidate will also be responsible for multiple client interactions, including development and scoping; permitting, planning, status reporting and controlling; and execution of project deliverables (scope of work narrative, specifications, schedules, calculations, BoQ, cost estimating and pricing, regulatory compliance with local authorities having jurisdictions and international applicable standards, testing and commissioning, etc.)


Application Criteria:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Civil preferred) from an accredited university is preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus
  • 10+ years’ experience in construction and project management is essential
  • Experience working in Western-style organisations is preferred
  • Solar project implementation and component product knowledge is highly advanatageous


This position will be based in the Thailand and ideally we are seeking applications from Thai Nationals. The candidate shall be comfortable travelling based on assigned projects, up to 30%, both regionally and internationally
