Senegal Awarded Engie (MESIA Member)/Meridiam to Build Two Utility Scale PV Projects Totaling 60MW

Senegal’s Electricity Sector Regulatory Commission (CRSE) has awarded a consortium of Engie and Meridiam as the winner under its Scaling Solar program for both tendered projects with a total capacity of 60 MW, based on ¢3.98/kWh for the solar plant located in Touba and ¢3.80/kWh for the solar plant located in Kahone. In total, CRSE received 14 bids from 8 of the 13 qualified bidders for both locations.
