Risk Assessment – How to Reduce Technical Risks in PV Investments
November 4 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
PV risk assessments serve to reduce the risks associated with investments in PV projects. The key challenge in reacting to or preventing failures at a reasonable cost is the ability to quantify and manage the different risks. TUV Rheinland provides a reproducible and transparent technique to deal with the complexity of risk analysis and processing.
In addition to the knowledge of the individual risks, the economic impact of these risks are the driving factors for further decisions. The impact is quantified by evalu-ating the effect of the detected failures on the operational behaviour of the PV project.
The webinar highlights the risk assessment approach in order to quantify the future risks of the PV project and to derive the best strategy of plant optimization from a technical and financial perspective. The cost-benefit analysis will be applied to determine whether the benefit of a mitigation option will justify its costs.
It shall be elaborated, which mitigation measures and actions lenders, investors and EPC contractors should take in order to reduce technical and reliability related risks.
The webinar also gives PV plant owners and investors the idea of what they can do to address possible risks that might affect the success and technical as well as financial feasibility of the PV project. moderator: Sebastian Petretschek
