Mr. Evangelos S. Lianos, is the Executive Director for the Middle East for YINGLI SOLAR, worlds largest Photovoltaic Panels Manufacturer. He is leading YINGLI’s energy solutions business in the region for PV panels sales, partnering in solar energy farms development and IPP / BOO / BOT operations, EPC and O&M services, partnering with existing or planning-to-become local PV manufacturers.

He has many years experience in the MEA and CIS regions – prior to YINGLI SOLAR he worked as Group Executive Vice President International Operations & Strategic Projects at ETISALAT TELECOM GROUP, for ORASCOM TELECOM GROUP he was the Chief Officer Corporate Strategy & Business Development and for GREEK TELECOM he worked on Commercial and Operational Projects and Ventures in Central/Eastern Europe & Middle East where he acted also as Board Member in subsidiaries. In Germany he worked in multinational companies (SIEMENS, DATEV, GENERAL ELECTRIC / COMPUNET, MTX) in technical and commercial positions.

He acts as Member of Advisory Boards of companies within the IT/Media/Tech world, Pharmaceutical/Health, Energy, Commodities.

Mr. Lianos studied IT/TC engineering and Intl. Business & Law in Germany, speaks English, German, Greek and French.
