
Before establishing Apricum in 2008, Mr. Dobrott spent 15 years in leadership positions in the consulting and energy sectors. He worked intensively in top organizations to design and implement business strategies. He started his career at Arthur D. Little as a management consultant focused on chemicals and energy. He then led corporate development and M&A at Rütgers (now Evonik) and later became director of renewable energies and resources at Invest in Germany.
Mr. Dobrott founded Apricum after recognizing that many companies were challenged to adapt their business models to the renewable energy transition. He saw their need for unbiased expertise and appropriate business strategies to realize the numerous business opportunities in renewable energy.
At Apricum Mr. Dobrott has spearheaded the solar market entry strategy for many large corporations and led major M&A transactions for numerous global players. He has contributed to the development of the solar industry in emerging countries, and has enabled a wide range of governmental organizations at a state and national level to realize growth in renewable energy in the USA, Germany, Mexico and a Middle East country. In the renewable energy sector, Mr. Dobrott has particular industry expertise in solar and wind, as well as deep functional expertise in corporate finance and strategic business development at a company, country and regional level. He possesses an exhaustive understanding of energy markets, economic growth and value chains.
Mr. Dobrott holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Chemical Engineering from the Technische Universität Berlin.
