Basma EL Zein, received her PhD in Micro-Nanotechnology from the University of Lille, France–in 2012. She got her master degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Lebanese University, in 1999. She is currently a research scientist in the Materials for Energy conversion and energy storage laboratory at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia. Dr. El Zein, recent research interests include working on nanostructures for photovoltaic applications, where she filed one patent, published one book and many papers in international journals. She is a senior IEEE member, reviewer in many international journals, the chair and on the committee of many international conferences.
