Kehkashan Basu, 14 years old and a year 9 student of the Deira International School, is the Global Coordinator for Children and Youth at UNEP being the youngest person , ever , to hold this position. She is also the Youth Ambassador of World Future Council, A Global Youth Ambassador for “A World At School” and the Founder President of her own organization, Green Hope UAE which regularly engages young people through their environment academies. She has spoken as the voice of children and youth at over 45 international summits spanning scores of countries, espousing the cause of sustainability by adopting a zero carbon lifestyle. She has received several international awards for her work.
